At the Womens Funded 2019 conference at San Francisco Bay Area, as a Rise Up leader from India, I presented at the panel "Making change from the grassroots" on the situation of girls and young women living in informal settlements Mumbai and the ways in which we facilitate collective/group building among them to help fight their obstacles of early marriage, domestic violence and sexual harassment. This panel was chaired by founder and CEO of Rise Up Denise Dunning, and panelists were co-rise up leaders.
As part of the Financing for Development forum in 2019 at the UN Headquarters in New York, I represented the UNMGCY as a panelist at the first ministerial finance dialogue on promoting inclusive growth and reducing inequalities, chaired by John Authers, senior editor of Bloomberg and in the presence of co-panelists and finance ministers of Honduras, Italy, Tuvalu and Sri Lanka.
